CJAC's mission is to serve children and families affected by child abuse and to provide a collaborative and compassionate community response.
The Children’s Justice & Advocacy Center (CJAC) serves as a centralized, trauma-informed hub for children and families impacted by abuse, ensuring a coordinated and compassionate response at every touchpoint.
CJAC conducts forensic interviews in a safe, child-friendly setting to reduce trauma and support fact-finding, provides victim advocacy to support children and non-offending caregivers as they navigate investigative and healing processes while connecting them to counseling, medical care, and practical resources, and facilitates multidisciplinary team (MDT) collaboration by convening law enforcement, child protection, prosecutors, medical, and mental-health professionals to align efforts, minimize system-induced trauma, and optimize outcomes for children and families.
