Responsibilities of the Kitsap County Prosecuting Attorney's Office:
Prosecuting all felony crimes referred by county law enforcement agencies and city law enforcement agencies, prosecuting all gross misdemeanor and misdemeanor crimes referred by county law enforcement agencies and the Cities of Bainbridge Island, Poulsbo and Port Orchard who have contracted with the Kitsap County Prosecutor's Office for prosecution services.
Providing legal advice to all elected officials and county departments and defending or prosecuting civil cases on behalf of county government.
Litigating child support issues in cases referred by the State Department of Social and Health Services, Division of Child Support.
